Fun, Food and Bacon!!

So to begin, the other day at work I forgot my lunch, and so headed over to the local convenience store and got some snackies, including POPCORN BALLS! They were so yummy!!! :D Mom used to make them when I was a kid, and these tasted much like those.

This weekend the lovely Gentleman Friend took me out for Pizza and Mimosa's at Cafe Avilino. We ate breakfast pizza, which has sundried tomato pesto, egg and cheese, then bacon and sausage. For my second piece I had pepperoni and it was delightful as well :) SO GOOD!!! We each drank a caraf of mimosa then I headed into work... In a very nice mood :) When I got back to his house we tried the juice boxes of wine. Their pretty terrible but hilarios!

At work they have had a problem with fruit flies all over the lunch room. Its terrifying, and the managers are trying to put up signs and deal, but people seem to like the infestation? Anywho, here is one of the signs, I drew the little fly and the attack of the flies note. :)

At the house my African Violet is blooming! Well, A bloom. So pretty!! I also made a salad that came out super pretty

So last night we did some bacon preliminaries. We had to test out some recipes, and they were AMAZING!! First I assembled the Bacon Bomb. This involved weaving strips of bacon, filling it with sausage, cheddar and chives, then rolling it up and roasting it till cooked. Next we made some cheddar jalapenio poppers, then wrapped those in bacon and fried then a second time. (GF got a deep fryer). We also made sausages wrapped in bacon and deep fried, some blue cheese bacon grilled cheese, and BLT's. HOLY SHIT. It was so good!! Bacon day will be the best!!

-AKA  Izzy downloaded her dumb-phone. So I realised my last few post have been... meh... Not like my writing is stellar, but its not been interesting, and Im sorry to anyone who may wonder by.

 I recently discovered that Reeses makes an amazing, delicios abomination known as a Big Cup (its for peanut lovers). Some of you may say "Didnt you see the comercial for them?" well, no... Still in the I dont have a TV and when I do get to watch everyone has a fast forward button mode. I can tell you it was AMAZING. You know your jealous. I consumed it while working on my Art History discussion in case you wanted way to much info...

Also this weekend I had a lovely treat of Nations, the local GIANT HAMBURGER PLACE OF AMAZINGNESS. I kind of love it. I had consumed a few beverages before entering and decided a snack would be in order (With you know who). Seeing how it was like Midnight-thirty I opted to try something new, the chili cheese fries. So basicly its fresh made fries, Hormel and American singles (for meeeeee, que Justin Farren). OMG. Perfect late night snack. Go eat it. NOW. Even my classy date who had consumed massive amounts of Etufe before seeing me (we're still not technically speaking, lol) consumed them with vigor!

Some of you may know (well, actually no one knows..) Ok, so a GREAT snack, one of my faves, is dunking Triscuits/Trader Joes Woven Wheat Wafers in Greek Yogurt. YUM!! WEIRD! But you'll like it. So I was happily munching along the other night, around ohhh.... well... morning time... and noticed something...

 Read UNDER Rosemary and Olive Oil... Natural flavor with other natural flavor... WOW. Thats like.. double the flavor.

I stopped home to feed the felines (still house sitting, hence the acutal posting) and water the plants. Turns out Im actually growing some things!! My experiment with a hen and chick living with a pineapple sage is going quite nicely, and both are blooming on the deck. Ya, thats a beaver tail cactus on the step above. The spiders are all great, and the all green one is shooting out babies once again! My buddy who almost didnt make the trip from Detroit! Also, Aloe Vera Wang is ready for a repotting here quick.

My baby tomatoes are thriving as well. Well, half are amazing and the other half are almost dead really... The ones I didnt wait to plant are super happy! lol. Their even starting to shoot out some tomatoes!! Lookie there!!! What kind of toms did I buy? Bah, buying is for chumps. I got these from my dear Aunt Nan, from mystery heirloom seeds. Looks like there are 3 types, so I have about 2 of each. I'll try and remember to keep yall posted ;)

And lastly, today after taking Crazy Uncle shoe shopping, I stopped off to get the felines some feed. While wondering through the local corporate petshop (competitior to terrible Corporate Petshop) I saw they were cleaning the critter cages. Upon passing I saw possibly the CUTEST act of controled instincual behavior EVER!!!

Not only am I now having dog withdrawls but I also miss my mouse. Look how CUTE they all are!!! :D All furry and snuggly and fou fou-y..... Ok, Ive lost it... Im gunna go do something now...

Adventure time!

So my lovely Gentleman Friend once again is spoiling the CRAP out of me :) Tomorrow night we're heading to the Excelsior in Monterey with his best friend and wife. Friends wife, not GF's. .. .. . . Not repeating bad history.. Anywho! After that back to the bay, then up to Sonoma where the GF will use his wonderful business cards to get us drunk for freeeeeeeeee!! Oh ya ;) Im quite smitten. And he's good looking to boot... RRRrrr ;) Cats are already suspicious

ANYWAY.... Job is well, got the weekend off which is FAB. I guess the joy of part time. Gatta work my BDay but so is life. Got the Sat after off so party time with GF

Tomatoes are started! got some flowers so a good sign! Update on the house plants, Aloe Vera Wang is fab, needs a new pot because she's way outgrown this one. The spidies are all goin crazy in this weather and the wondering jew is the brightest Ive ever seen it! The hen and chicks is doing well also. and the one that was a gift from my neighbor is flowering!! :D The African Violet 2 got a little dry but i think will be ok

Fire on the West Side

Yesterday I should have covered this. Ont he west side of town there was a huge fire in a very old school due to the lightning. The storm was really beautiful, I was up at 5:30 am to get ready for work and watched it for an hour. Im weird.

I am about to become a full blown Michigan resident!! I signed up for my Michigan drivers licence! And its special so I can go to Canada. Im gunna to out of country!!!! two weeks. gatta wait two weeks....

Also, no pictures (Sad face) but I got two new little hermit crabs. I think Herman might have passed on T_T but   have this fantastic set up so why waste it. I hope to fill it with crabbies again one day. I also picked Cooper up a chewy house, one he can eat and- he hates it. of course. Why would he want a $6 house when he can eat toilet paper tubes? Gerbils...

I repotted the plants in between jobs. Everyone got a new pot, even the spider plants, which means I wont have babies for about a year, but they will live longer. Got some good deals at WalMart on pots, colorful self wattering pots for $1 each, but the service was terrible. I wondered around for 45 minutes looking for potting soil in something other then 5 cup bags, and everyone I asked pointed outside. I kept looking but it wasnt there. Finally I left in a huff and a sweet gal said she found it outside in the parking lot. Thats nice, but I already had everything else, like i could just leave, right? So I went over to target and got a big bag of Miracle Grow self feeding. Yay for me getting to be lazy!
