Julia Child Is 100! And Cat Leashes

Happy Birthday to the lady who brought fine cuisine to our homes, promoted the use of butter, and apparently was kind of a bitch. But I love her anyway :) anywho, How is everyone today? I hope well.

So yesterday I was off to see about getting the oil crayon off Darlene's windshield and price out some alarms. I think I have a deal in progress about the latter, but more on that when things are solid ;) The plan is still to paint her plaid. Im ambivolant, but i think it will be the right thing to do. She will be an artistic statement, right? lol! But things are good. :)

Also yesterday my lovely neighbor Shawn gave me and kitten a cat leash! Really its a dog harness she found at the beach, but it fits Kitler just perfect! So we went for a little walk, he seemed to enjoy sniffing around the yard untill be became OBSESSED with attacking the leash

Cut cat party!! XD My blog is now a stereotype. :) lol!!

I also downloaded Monster Petshop and am obsessing over it a little. Im untidyvenus on there and the monsters are SOOO CUTE!!! :D Yep, Im a Nerd

Finals and the Challenge

So its finals week. Finishing up my mandala and essays. Monday it should all be over :) But there will be more about that over on my other blog.

I have let myself get out of shape. I'm not bashing myself or pity partying or anything, but I have had the amazing opportunity to not have to live in poverty and have been indulging. So now I get the opportunity to work it off and get myself back to what I have worked so hard to maintain.

For those who dont know, I have used the FREE page SparkPeople to get myself healthy a few times. Its realistic, safe and tasty recipes! Plus tons of support and ideas, Sometimes to many ideas. If you wanna be my friend my username is magickzzl. This time Im trying the app, which is really easy to use. just type in what you ate and how you exercised and it does the math. My big problem is I love carbs, bread and crackers and Dr. Pepper. I end up eating to many carbs and almost no protein or fats. This means Im extra hungry but maxed out or over on calories. Protein and fat keeps you full ;)

I also am trying to get more exercise. I walk a TON in the city and at work, but not much cardio. I gatta work through my asthma but toally doable. So this is my challenge :)

On Nerdist News, I got a Koi on Neos!! :D I have been wanting one for a while now but their limited edition. but I found a rad website that shows pets in the pound and got my lovely ChattyKelly! the Speckled Koi!!!

So cute!!! :D Also picked up an old Batman game for the PS2, and a random monkey game that was super cheap. I gatta go back to living like a nun, but its been fun not being crazy poor for a little bit.

Coffee and Nerding Out

Incase you havn't noticed... I'm a NERD!! Lol. There is a strange thing going on where nerds are cool now. Some people are going to tell me, "Your cool for being you" "Never care what others think" "Im a giant douche and repeat retarded logic vomited out over years by PBS programs" (Im sorry PBS, I didnt mean to offend you. Special needs community, I am reclaiming Retard for use for people who are volinatrily stupid since you dont use it anymore) But for most of my life I have been deemed "nerd" and mock for it. Mostly I dont care, less caring as I get older. But now with everyone being empowered and what not its super rad to be a nerd. I can openly tell people that as an adult I play Pokemon and Neopets. I got called a hipster recently because one of my favorite songs is mostly unknown (Fader by Temper Trap), and I wasnt sure what to think. In the past people would have said i was weird and need to listen to more mainstream music. I dont like the fact that no one has heard of Temper Trap. Im actually sad, I wish more people knew the song. I enjoy music from some local bands and a lot of oldies too, which i guess doesnt help me case.

But is being a hipster bad?

Im not a hipster. I dont fit into the community which I do find intriguing, thanking them for showering and a little annoying at times. I dont know where I fit in.  Im into punk music (oh Bad Religion, of Mighty Mighty Bostones) and country and rock and everything. I wear Dr. Marten combat boots and converse and new balance. Most of my clothes are paint stained or ready to play with farm animals, then I switch into sun dresses and skirts. I listen to more podcasts then anything and have a minor crush on Adam Carolla. I live with my cats, fish, gerbil and dont have internet or a digital ready TV. So ya....


That got very reflective. Didnt mean for it to go there, but apparently Im super self centered ;) Anywho, have spent the morning ignoring my chores and homework to play neos and download podcasts. Im at local coffee shop, enjoying my newest dark pleasure, a Cool Lime Refresher. Their pretty delightful, not to sweet, low cal and very refreshing. Plus its cafinated, made with a magic green coffee bean elixer which doesnt taste like coffee at ALL. I dont usually promote corporate things but this is GOOD. Im also nibbling on the adorable Champagne Grapes from Trader Joes. Their delightful and on sale right now, not to mention absolutly ADORABLE!!!! Another food recomendation :)


Gentleman Friend and I started working on a creative project last night. Its something we have been joking about a lot lately and jumped into! So once I have some things to show I'll keep you posted. Or as Larry Miller says "You'll be the second to know!" Also coming up, keep and eye out for some changes on the blog layout. I wanna make a banner and show off my creativity. But Im SO LAZY...... lol. But I'll actually do it here in a little bit. Know why? Well, finals are coming and I LOVE making myself insane when Im already busy. And if you play neopets friend me!! I keep loosing my mind.. and other things

Ugh this week is epic for loosing things. First off, my beloved dragon necklace.. That I have worn every day for 10 years... It broke some time the other night and is gone. :( Im pretty heart broken about it, and have been avoiding posting about it. I dont want pity or a pile of dragon necklaces. I liked this one because it was Dragon-y without being to dragon-y. it was just super cool and swirly and kinda abstracty. Was very me.

Now I have lost my ipod charger. For those who dont know I have the worlds best ipod. its a G2 shuffle, the little one thats about 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches. An old friend once gave it to me loooong ago when they came out and Its been with me through all my art classes, 10 or 11 jobs, and 4 cities. plus about a million miles. Its only about 1 gig but perfect for podcasts. Also its little battery still goes about 14 hours!! And of course I lost the charger this week. I just ordered a new one for 1.60 but it will take amonth to ship. :/ Oh well.

Moved out of Janets yesterday and picked her up at the airport after pulling an Izzy... I was waiting at Oakland, and she was at SFO... Oops... lol! but all ended up well. I also went to see the Aunts, and saw the pictures of their EPIC trip. It was amazing! and they lent me a breathing machine, which is sooooooo good!!! :D

More Neglect

Sorry to everyone not reading this blog... Been busy and hence not posting... So... Updates? I have a gentleman friend now ;) always very nice. He's tall and handsome and treats me like a goddess... Complete opposite of what I usually attract! (Whats the catch here....?) Anywho, schools coming along... This semester is a doozy, I know I keep saying that but you try taking 4 studio classes! I know i know, I did it to myself.. Oh well. Just a fun fact, Doozy comes from Duesenberg, like the car! Wait, you dont know what a duesy is? For shaaaaaaaaaame...

So back to updates, I had a roomate.. Then I had to ask her to leave, she told me she resents the way I keep up my kitchen then questioned my state of mind... So :P go be homeless, I put myself out for you. Sorry, petty moment, but I needed to get it out of my system.

Gentleman friend has been taking excelent care of me. We went wine tasting a few weeks ago, where aparently his buisness cards are better then cash! Free wine! Woot!! We also went to the races on dollar day and ate dollar hotdogs, drank dollar beer and made dollar bets. For his Birthday I drove him to Santa Cruz and showed him Seacliff and Aptos. So near and dear to my heart. While out by the Palo Alto we saw dolphins and a humback whale!! Ive never been so close to one! It was just about a perfect day, finished off with a fabulous bad movie starring John Wayne as Ghangis Khan.... Thats right, not a typo. :) Im quite smitten. So omeone punch me in the face already!!

Also, DRAMA! So the plumbing had been backing up terribly at the house, and kept overflowing into poor DeeDee's garage :( So we finally had to fix it, which involved 3K and ripping up part of the driveway!! Poor little 2011!! (Did I mention Im calling this house 2011? Like the apartment was 46?) but everything runs beautifully now. Also Darlene had work the same weekend. She needed bushings, tie rod, dust covers, and her idler was clogged.... but the shade tree mechanic Dave got her going good on a student budget! With some creeepy flirting.... weird!!!

Castor and Pickles are well. Castor is a pain in my ass, and horribly jealous of Gentleman friend, until he gets pets. Pickles on the other hand has a hard on for GF, a total boy crush! Which surprised me, since GF is tall... REALLY tall :) I thought since Pickles hasnt been around many men and no one tall he might panic... (like he did over, well, everything?) but nope, all over him! Cooper is great, burrowing and tunnling only to be crushed benieth the substrate. Herman and his little buddy Mr. Pinchi the 3 came out as the weather has been AMAZING!! In fact AMAZBALLS!!! lol. Bettas are good, but lost Draco. Poor pretty boy... Betta girl was a bit depressed, no one to inimidate...
