Proud of My Size

Hello all! Once again its that time of week to join the lovely Rachel over at the Near Sighted Owl  for the proud of my size link up! Im not very fashionable today. Honestly I feel horrifying today and laying there with my iPod and kitten are about as good as it gets. I missed class earlier because I couldn't stand, and couldn't stop vomiting (not even from distain!) But doing better and made it to the school, as I still don't have interwebs at the house. but ya, Kitler and I hung out this morning! Back to the proud of my size, its all about self love even when your sick as Kitler after eating a pound of frozen chicken. (true story)

So I realized that I never shared pictures of my little unnamed goldfish! Sadly right before I left for Utah Jellybean fish passed away. So about a week after I got back I was missing a cold water carp in my life and picked up a 15 cent common who is adorable! Help me pick a name.

How cute is that?!?!

100th Post

Hello all! how is everyone doing this lovely day? Yes, Im in a pleasent mood. This seems strange a of late, doesnt it? kidding. Im currently pushing everything out of my head, because this time tomarrow i will be meeting Gentleman Friend and we will jump on a plane for Utah!! Why Utah you ask? His family reunion. Im meeting the family but I cant even begin to try and process that right now, just trying to enjoy the fact Im gunna get to go camping, see some sights and take a trip!! I have had some wonderlust as of late... In need of adventure!!

School also starts this week, but I will miss the first week. Im not terribly worried. But thats a little nerve wracking, I'll be jumping full force into that!! Also at work they are switching over to the EVIL new schedualing system Chronos, which means we are getting raped on days off one more time, and my dear friends who are on-call get gyped on hours once more. Avoid corporations if you can ladies and gents.

So Bacon Day was a HIT! Super amazing happy time! More people then I thought showed up (which was about 1/4 of those who said they would attend) But all the best. Tim drove down from Sacto, Angera came and ditched her BF for it, and a few others. The Aunts came too! :D So good!! GF was a G and wonderful host, keeping people entertained most of the night while I was anti-social in the kitchen, this is what I do at parties. after the food Tim brought out the best game ever, Cards Against Humanity. Essentially Apples to Apple but EVIL, in the best way possible. :D We had a splendid feast of Bacon waffles, Bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers, grilled bacon and blue cheese, BLT, bacon wrapped sausages, the bacon bomb, bacon beer, bacon floats, bacon cinnamon buns, bacon brownies and failed bacon bourbon. (its just didnt taste like bacon really, more next time!) The Aunts brought a delightfull bacon zuccinni casserole which helped us from having corinaries Im sure!! Hungry yet? Good! Because I'll share the recipe for the BOMB!

Ingrediants-

2 pounds bacon
1 pound Italian sausage
1 jar of your favorite barbeque sauce

3 cloves garlic

1/4 cup of cheddar cheese

chives is desired

1 jar of your favorite barbeque rub

take the bacon and weave it into a blanket, about 5x5 pieces. make sure the raw bacon isnt frozen or it will break. Sprinkle sparingly with rub, then lay the sausage, cheese, chopped garlic, and chives in a long tube at the bottom of the weave. Roll the bacon all the way around the mix, sealing it in a beautiful blanket.

Back at 350 for about 2 hours or until cooked through. let it sit for about 10 minutes before sutting or it will be an ungodly mess. consume vigorously!!!

What? How on earth did this happen? I blame you Angera!!! lol! Gentleman friend you too ;) Well thank you to anyone who wonders by and reads this rant and rambling.... This is certainly an honor :3

Friday Night Gentleman Friend came over and I made Tandoori Chicken, yum!! But I messed up the rice (really? rice??!?) and didnt make enough. The chicken was quite delightful though.... So afterwords we walked over to the movie store and rented Hidalgo (yes the sad horse movie.. Im a girl, I love horse movies) and I forced him to watch it. He's an amazing man and powered through it. But on the way home from said rental store we stopped at Nations Giant Hamburgers for some AMAZING burgers and Strawberry Cheese cake. These guys have the BEST pie....

In local news, Saturday Gentleman Friend took me to see my beloved DETROIT LIONS!! They played the Raiders in Oakland so we ventured into the Black hole.... For those who don't know, Raiders fans are known for being... Enthusiastic? And a little violent... He asked me kindly to not wear my bootleg Detroit hat and I agreed, only to find I was in good company! So many Detroit fans out in full gear!! :D He got us seats so close we could almost smell my beloved Lions. I kinda wish i did bring the hat, maybe i could have gotten an autograph.. Prolly not... Oh well, next time ;) GF is a HUGE football fan, but he's at heart an Eagles man. Yes, you may feel sorry for him ;) kidding handsome!!! Ya, he's teaching me all about sports. We ate garlic fries and had a grand time! The weather was perfect as well, which is good because they had forcast it being rather gloomy, which is great except when you want to be outside for 3 hours.... Especially in Oakland, that wind is cutting. (BTW Oakland Ca, not Oakland Mi)

After the game we went to Albany Pizza Co and had wonderful HUGE slices of their delightful pizza. Gowd I love that place! Yummo!!! With our bellies full we headed to my place to watch a few movies. For the record, Hamlet 2 is AMAZING! How have I not seen this yet? Crazyness. Also Midgets Vs Mascots is a mockumentory worth the time. Gary Coleman leads. GARY COLEMAN. Go watch it. Now. :)

Also I was distracted but here are some cars from last week. OMG I love cars!! The First one is a quarter mile racer, '74 Ford GTO. The orange guy is a 70's Mustang and The little guy is an Austin :)

And lastly, some snackies and goodness. On the way to court (grumblegrumblerapistsgrumble) I grabbed the breakfast of champions! Dill Pickle Chips!!! :D OMG and their super yummy too!! And the bag is cool. Also yesterday on the way to work I snagged something I have been trying to get my hands on for a while, coconut M & M's!! Their chocolate with coconut, and sooooooooo good. Also threw in a Kitler picture to round out my total wussyness 

Proud of My Size #2

For those who don't know what this is, the lovely and amazing Rachel of The Near Sighted Owl is running a fat acceptance, love your body no matter what your size campaign. I have had a lot of body issues in my life, and my sister had as well. She's a 00, and for her people calling her skinny, bean pole, anorexic, etc are just as painful as calling a heavy person lard ass. Especially those who accuse her of having eating disorders. Sorry guys, turns out chasing horses for 12 hours a day and owning 3 large dogs will increase your calorie burning immensely.

So here we are, my sister and I, at one of her horse shows! she is a Riding instructor for a large barn and was taking her students. I'm in one of my favorite summer dresses, from Target a few years ago! Super fun!

So I have been commissioned for my first mural! :D Hurray!! I'm really excited! I'm going to be painting an 8'x40' wall for a local alarm and stereo company. In exchange the guy will do my alarm and kill switch!! :D WOOT!!! So rad! So there will be pictures and updates on THAT shortly.

Also signed up for twitter. I dont know if I'll actually be using it much, but I'm untidyvenus. We will see :) It will prolly be much like my facebook and just random comedic quote from Adam Carolla, Christopher Titus, Alison Rosen and the like.

So the plants are doing REALLY well. I discovered that putting red pepper flakes in the pots keeps the squirrels out- mostly. also the tomatoes are so close!!! Finally!!!

And kitten went for another walk yesterday evening. He also climed his first tree, and fell out of his first tree.... He's my special little guy ;) lol poor dump kitten
