BACON BACON and more

So my attempts to follow through with sparkpeople and get in shape are being thwarted by my general lazyness and weakness for yummy goodness. But I am doing better, paying more attention and trying to make better choices. With that being said, yesterday Gentleman friend and I visited Bacon Bacon, the bacon based food truck :)

We shared a bacon grilled cheese, with also had a bacon relish (thats right, bacon relish! Which I think is bacon butter and maple syrup), a bacon burger which had 2 patties, tons of cheese and a delightful spicy mayo, and some parm fries. Not good for either of our diets but increadibly wonderful!!! Plus its fun to see GF is his work suit ;) girls go crazy for a well dressed man for sure.

So last week Kitten and I watched Captain America!! It was really a better movie then I was expecting. But sadly, as predicted, the special effects guys got carried way and made it looks way less awesome. When you pull me out of the movie i get sad. I want to know notice the effects and feel like it could really happen. But at least there was plot. :)  

I also got a new crash case for my little ipod. I heart my shuffle, and got a crazy good deal on amazon, (and clicked through Alison Rosen's site helping her amazing little podcast! :D ) so now my shuffle is a monster!!! Rawr!! Also in random pictures and news, I got an ornementle ginger from my aunties (yay!) and pulled out my eyeshadow pallet from Brand-I.  Yay!!

 Lastly, we will finish with more BACON news. Did you know that a strip of raw bacon is the same length as an unrolled raw cinnamon bun? Coincidence? Fate? Magic? Evil corporate conspericy? What ever it is, its AMAZING. Delish. DO IT NOW.

FOOD! PICTURES! And Other Amazing things part 1

First and far most lets begin with the fact IM A SPOILED BRAT. :) and totally greatfull for it. Another amazing weekend with the Gentleman Friend and my old friend Paola! If anyone ever read the old blog you'll remember her from my Assisting days. Paola had a conference and crahsed at my place in between. It was so wonderful getting to see her again. On with my weekend of EATING!!

Thursday night when Paola came in on the train we went out for Chinese at the local Daiko. So good!! I had Honey Glazed BBQ Pork and Choy Sum over rice. HOLY COW!! Also I got Instagram... Ya Im turning into a phone whore. But look at the prettyness!! Anywho, Daiko is a wonderful SUPER Chinese resterant. They arnt super friendly to us white folks, but the food is amazing and fresh and cooked to order. I go there very rarely as I am a broke art student, and you cant go there for the service but the food it THAT GOOD. When going though th East bay Stop by.

Friday I went to work and after the co workers, GF, Paola and I all headed out for drinks and fun. The co-workers are a fun crowd! I like them a lot. D'wanna and Toure gave GF his official black card for his favorite movie being Pootie Tang. It was super fun and we got home way to late, as poor Paola had more seminar on Saturday and an early morning awaited.

Saturday after dropping Paola at BART I brought the sleeping GF some donuts and we headed out to the Redwood City BBQ and Blues Festival!!!! :D Ome it was SOOOOO GREAT! We ate so much food, watched whole pigs roasting on a spit, ate bacon hotdogs and enjoyed the sun. Also the music was quite delightful! Pictures!!!

The wrap was the best thing we ate of all the amazing food. it was a wonderful time with a wonderful man :) Afterwards we headed home and rented the new Sherlock Holmes movies and watched untill Paola got back. 

New Phone!

Yay!! Im gunna miss my old phone, my little Pantech. It lived a long, wonderful life, never letting me down and will be well cared for as a back up. I had to renew the contract so in addition I got to upgrade my phone after 2 years so I did. I gave in and got an iPhone. I have been resisting, but they were .99 so even with tax and a cover, cheapest. And my phone plan is staying the same (was gunna save $10 a month, but iphone is an extra 10 so even steven). It does have a Blogger app, so I can update more regularly hopefully!! also, perhaps pictures will be better. Im ambivolent about it though.

Schools been rough, and the online system keeps failing. I may have missed my midterm online if it didnt send which is ONLY 10% of my GRADE!!! Fu...... .. . . ... . . Anywho, what ever. Whats done is done. Color and design is going. I need to adhere to the teacher a bit more and do what he likes, but he cant really mark me down for doing the project in my own esthetic. but ill do better if I do his... :( grrr politics. (art can be seen over at Dont Eat The Charcoal)

So on Monday ate at a wonderful food truck called Mustard Mayo. We had headed out to try and find the food truck Bacon Bacon for a bacon grilled cheese, but their times were wrong on the website. (Arg... I hate that, pet peeve!!) but lucky we ended up eating DELIGHTFUL tritip sandwiches. :) They had perfect tritip, with some jalapeno, sweet peppers, wasabi mayo, grilled onions and more. the flavors are complex yet combine perfectly :) Sorry, slid into annoying essay format there.

So at local coffee shop, and they are debuting a wonderful fruit and green coffee drink. I enjoy the lime one, but honestly havnt tried the berry one yet. and DAMN this place is packed.

So, Gentleman Friend is once again the most AMAZING man in the HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE. Not only are we heading to see Pat Benetar and the Steve Miller band tomorrow!! (and a Japanese street fair AND possibly the Winchester mystery house, and smashed pennies for sure ;) ) but he also may have tickets for ADAM LAKERS CAROLLA!!! Im a minor fan is you dont know. You may disagree, you may have a conception of his comedy, but what everyone seems to forget about comedians is that... Their COMEDIANS. Dont take their shit seriosly. I heart Ace. and my book is TOTALLY coming to be signed. and possibly the other book if I can get it. :)
