A Lovely Weekend and Anteaters and Movie Theories

This weekend was amazing. Really the whole week. On Wednesday my animal anatomy class went to the SF Zoo, and since I hate myself and am working on the superficial muscle structure of an anteater.. And since there is exactly 0 reference for that anywhere in the world, I hunted down the anteater keeper. First I stalked Nancy, a docent, a lovely older woman who sent me to Stella, keeper of books and docents. Stella printed me some info that won't help this project but will help my general knowledge, so Nancy and I headed off to hunt down Bruno. Bruno is overworked. Bruno gets to play with exotic birds and anteaters all day and I think he wants a vacation. And maybe a raise. But Bruno is awesome. Bruno let me ask a million questions ranging from childish to unanswerable and to shut me up let me FEED THE ANTEATER OUT OF MY HAND! My hand was licked by an anteater!!! She likes Avacado. So my life is complete now.

Saturday Tim and Kate came down and we hung out in Japantown, did the Japanese photobooths (so much fun!!!) Then saw Matt and Kim at the Warfield. I'm a true San Franciscan now, and possibly a hipster. But the show was fantastic and the company was amazing. Handsome Gentleman friend is now destitude as his girlfriend spent all of his monies, but I think he had a good time as well. Sunday we headed down to Daly City to see Brandi and Codi, long time no see, and watch one of the greatest movies of all time.... Big Trouble in Little China. I'm watching again right now in my TV, but this was in theaters... Big screen. Big sound. The way it was ment to be seen. Codi apparently had never seen it.. I don't know how that happened since we have been friends for many years and I watch it almost monthly... His reactions were what they should be. "What the fuck did I just see?" You just saw movie magic my friend! Later that night I spent more of GFs monies because Amy is home from Italy!! And to celebrate we went to Pinole creek for fried chicken that takes 2 days to make :3 it was fantastic even though she was a total pill.

So my theories on BTLC

Everyone in this movie except the white people are in or were in a gang. Jack, Gracie and Margo are the only ones with 0 knowledge of the gangs. Egshen is the leader of a frikin street gang! The Yang Shin carry automatic weapons at a funeral.

Also the Wing Kong gang/trading company/ho ring is run by a horny ghost.

Eddie is a matredee with an intamate knowledge of the inner workings of the Wing Kong. Eddie was Wing Kong. Is that why he an Eg almost never share a scene?

The leader of a gang (Eg) drives a tour bus. For fun? Is it a front?

Jack Burton is just a guy who delivers hogs and wants to help his friend.

Jack has a truck called the Pork Chop Express and delivers hogs. Your mind = blown

Their drunk and or high in almost every scene. Count the bottles of beer on the tables at the Dragon of the Black Pool next time.

And lastly, the restaurant is called The Dragon of the Black Pool. Why is this not a thing here in the bay? I would eat there every night and wear the shirts... Not just cause of the movie but also because its a dragon... Of a black mfing pool!

Happy Belated Pi Day

3.14 was Pi day... lol!! Sorry for the hiatus all, got a little crazy with midterms, insane clients, insane family members, amazing family members, amazing Gentleman Friend and poor Ralph falling apart at my fingertips... So let me get super Narcasistic for a moment! Heres what i have been up to:

Been working on my getting fit, eating well and being happy. Its hard work!! I've been "pretty" good abou eating well. Finding actually even on my bad days im not really that bad.. just need more protien like last time i got a little squishy. Gentleman Friend has been so awesome and supportive, but feels i look just fine and the only stipulation is to not go crazy and dont loose boobs... lol!

My client i had been working with made a move on me so i had to scrap the whole deal mid project... uuughhhh.. Im sure he had been dropping hints bu Im so damn bad at knowing what guys are talking about... so literal... but EEEEWWWW!! I talked it over with 2 of my teachers who had never heard of this ACTUALLY happening.. and its not like Im a super model... (Not a pity party but in reality there are SO many better looking artists!!! lol) It bothered me really bad for about a week, GF was so chill... like, CRAZY chill about it, and was more upset that the situation bothered me so much. He's so amazing to me... Speaking of!!

We went to the Asian Art Museum here in San Francisco. The Terracotta Warriors of China are on tour so we went to see them, its a must see. Of course GF told me all about his month long visit to china in college, including a full tour of those delightful figures. but the museum had quite a few, lots of gear and history. The whole museum is increadible, with art from all parts of the Asian Contenent. Its a MUST see if your in the city. We have a LOT of museums here but thats one of the best.

Angela (Angera) also had her POLE DANCING RECITLE!!! Pole dancing? Yes, pole dancing for fitness! If I had more money and time I would do this in a hot second! I took a free class with her a year ago at the studio, which is in the city and owned by a BRILLIANT and beautiful woman Sayaha. The recital was amazing, and had a guest world champion pole dancer (yes there are compititions). The muscle strength and control these gals have is increadible!! like watching a cat. GF would also like me to do this, lol!! I want him to join me for the free day again this month... that would be fun!!

I also got to see some cool hipster bands with Tim. He got tickets to Passion Pit and Matt and Kim. Matt and Kim are super fun. I have to admit i didnt really know either bands, as my radio stations usually stop at Nirvana.... and holy COW there was so much pot.. like rivaling the Chilli Peppers crowd.... ya! Also, I think Passion Pit hates SF... the music was well done but.... they wernt enjoying the show at ALL. Anyway on Tims trip out we all played his game he's working on, and good lord its fun!! Im excited!! We also went to my coworker's Bday Party, which was delightful. Its the same place we went to the Halloween Party at, and was as much fun. Good people good times.

Wed, my wonderful and handsome cousin Jeff turned 21!!! he's a man!! 21 years ago my Aunties flew to San Diego and brought back a iny projectile vomiter... his nickname was Bubba Barfo for a long time :) now he's all grown up and joining the Airforce... We had a wonderful dinner at Red Lobster with all he good ones, and I ate myself silly. good times. Love you cuz!!

And because Im a spoiled brat last night GF took me to see Dana Gould!!! One of my Favorite comedians!!! the show was sooooo good!! We had a delightful dinner at the Irish Bank, a pub in town, then the show and drinks! Go see DANA!!!!

Schools been busy... No spring break and midterms are this coming week. has a SUPER shitty critique in Illustration from some really unintellegent people.. and I dont mean that because Im bitter, but it was very poor critique..... 

School Work School and Work

Really not to much work, and other then the usual drama of corporate whoring, its not to bad. School is in full swing, just dropped another $65 on paint, Pro White and brush soaps...

Last night Tim came down to the bay for a show, and crashed. Its been since Bacon Day, and longer since we got to really hang out. He is working on a super secret card game that he wanted to test on me, which was INCREADIBLY fun, and a little complicated. When its ready for supporters ill hook you guys up because we had tons of fun. But this means I have been procastinating on hw and have 3 pages of comic roughs (already thumb nailed but still), an animal to ink and 7 little ducks to ink... more on that later!

Oh and my still life homework for figure painting (dont ask...) was rejected, so i have another due on monday plus color tests.. Woo Im gunna be good! lol!!!

So Thursday is National Condom Day. Celebrate accordingly. If any of you get preggers or STD's that day ill slap ya. Its also the day Gentleman Friend flies home. :3 Yaaay!! Im thinking I may wear something cute to school, if I do Ill share picts... I need to share more pictures of outfits I guess... I dress like a slob most of the time though... except for work.. anywho, what ever.

Oh, last thing, Last week my twitter (UntidyVenus) got a mention on the Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend podcast. its on the Rory Scovel Interview part 2, about 40 minutes in, in the Just Me or Everyone segment!! :D Basically i asked is it just me or is it awkward to be in someone elses house when their not home, and I wrote it from GF's house while not sure is roomates were home as i was locked up in the room... (had crashed on a work night)

Just a little sad

Not devistatingly sad, just a little. This morning I dropped the Gentleman friend off at the air port, for 2 WEEKS IN NEW ORLEANS!! Lucky handsome man!! He wanted to take me but school starts this week. cant miss first 2 weeks of class, not ok. I was hoping to go see Tim this weekend but I just cant make it happen. I also wanted to kidnap Miss Wings, since we havnt had a chance to really hang out in YEARS and damn Im missing my Wife so much... Its also Fashion Rachels bday weekend, but she has plans with other folks so just me, the gameboy and the cats... actually at the local coffee shop to rant here a little and to get some iced tea... may splurge and eat food here aswell.... Last night I blew off the corporate job to have dinner with GF, which i could use the money but since theres no money to be made... Im not upset :) we had a yummy dinner in china town and went to pack his stuff up.

At work though we're having a cool fundraiser to talk about heart disease in women, which isnt talked enough about. it affects women of all ages, sizes and colors and is the NUMBER ONE KILLER OF WOMEN! Yet we all pay attention to breast cancer, which while also terrible we cant ignore this. So for a $2 donation you can get a little red dress pin, to wear and promote awareness. 100% of the procedes go to the American Heart Association. We are also wearing red. Now for the seedy underbelly part. We the workers are having a contest, if we sell 50 of the little dresses we get a bedazzled little pin and recognition! I want the bedazzled pin... so Im selling the shit out of them.

Oh ya, show you bought a little pin and get 15-20% off the store! :D

Im feeling really passionate about this, which is strange because I find myself having less love for the peoples and more loves for the animals... but a customer story at work made me really mad and horrified. I was helping a customer and selling her the little pin, to which she responded saying she was going to be back to get a few more of the pins later in the week. Her best friend had been having chest pains for months, so the doctors took out her golbladder, treated her for acid reflux, gave her meds for anxiety and more. She kepts asking is they would check her heart but various doctors told her she was thin, there for not in the risk group for heart problems... To thin for hear problems?? Anyway, she finally switched doctors again, for the 4h or 5th time and this doctor first thing hooked her up to an ekg, which showed she was litterally on the VERGE OF A HEART ATTACK. She managed to get treatment and avoid the heart attack, but now has PERMANENT damage to her heart because the heart disease was untreated for so long.

uuuugggghhhhh......

Im fighting a cold, its that time of year. Its trying to get into my lungs which scares me immensly. Arg!!!

Got some new and trandy things shopping with Fashion Rachel and Brandi. It was tons of fun! Look at me, turning into a girl. Last week also I went to visit Tim at his art show!! Yay! Its still up at the Blue Cue, so go and see the spatter paintings. We also walked around, ate hot wings and bought adorable chinese toys and got thrown out of Level Up by Dann-o! Oh SacTown.
