Dodgers at Giants

So last night the dearest Gentleman Friend took me along with him to the Dodgers Giants baseball game!! :D  He won the ticket in a charity auction and instead of taking one of his man-friends he picked me. We met up after his work, and grabbed some curry (YUM!!) which was delightfully spicy. Then we headed over to the game and consumed Garlic Fries (OMG YUM!) while Giants pitcher Matt Cain recieved the key to the City for pitching a perfect game. Im not going to lie, I know next to NOTHING about baseball. But GF was kind and explained things to me. The game was.. well... less then edge of your seat with no score untill the 3rd or 4th inning, but we made sarcastic comments with the guys next to us (insurance sales men) about the tiny $7 corn dogs and $10 beers. A wonderful time was had and Im that much more smitten with him :)

Today I have been homework my rear off. I kind of procrastinated a bit.. even after last night with another bout of insomnia, i just goofed around. So Im once again at local corporate coffee place. but in the parking lot there is a super cool car!!! Rad eh? Ive seen it around town and finally caught up to it. 

So last night in my not sleeping I found my old blog from a few years ago. I honestly forgot all about it, which is weird as I blogged almst every day for like 6 years there. I added the link to my clickables, but its also:

I read through a bunch of old entrees, my gowd Im a whining weenie!! lol. And my spelling is terrible... oh well. It also turns out I actually had some readers!! Actually looks like I have a reader or two here (WHY??? lol) which is such a strange concept. Not that its privet, this IS the interwebs, and its not like I dont WANT readers... Blah blah blah Ill be quiet now...

Oh FYI I actually updated my Art blog Im starting slowly, Don't Eat the Charcoal. So for art updates I guess check there infrequently ;)

Picture Heavey Food Edition and Plants

-AKA  Izzy downloaded her dumb-phone. So I realised my last few post have been... meh... Not like my writing is stellar, but its not been interesting, and Im sorry to anyone who may wonder by.

 I recently discovered that Reeses makes an amazing, delicios abomination known as a Big Cup (its for peanut lovers). Some of you may say "Didnt you see the comercial for them?" well, no... Still in the I dont have a TV and when I do get to watch everyone has a fast forward button mode. I can tell you it was AMAZING. You know your jealous. I consumed it while working on my Art History discussion in case you wanted way to much info...

Also this weekend I had a lovely treat of Nations, the local GIANT HAMBURGER PLACE OF AMAZINGNESS. I kind of love it. I had consumed a few beverages before entering and decided a snack would be in order (With you know who). Seeing how it was like Midnight-thirty I opted to try something new, the chili cheese fries. So basicly its fresh made fries, Hormel and American singles (for meeeeee, que Justin Farren). OMG. Perfect late night snack. Go eat it. NOW. Even my classy date who had consumed massive amounts of Etufe before seeing me (we're still not technically speaking, lol) consumed them with vigor!

Some of you may know (well, actually no one knows..) Ok, so a GREAT snack, one of my faves, is dunking Triscuits/Trader Joes Woven Wheat Wafers in Greek Yogurt. YUM!! WEIRD! But you'll like it. So I was happily munching along the other night, around ohhh.... well... morning time... and noticed something...

 Read UNDER Rosemary and Olive Oil... Natural flavor with other natural flavor... WOW. Thats like.. double the flavor.

I stopped home to feed the felines (still house sitting, hence the acutal posting) and water the plants. Turns out Im actually growing some things!! My experiment with a hen and chick living with a pineapple sage is going quite nicely, and both are blooming on the deck. Ya, thats a beaver tail cactus on the step above. The spiders are all great, and the all green one is shooting out babies once again! My buddy who almost didnt make the trip from Detroit! Also, Aloe Vera Wang is ready for a repotting here quick.

My baby tomatoes are thriving as well. Well, half are amazing and the other half are almost dead really... The ones I didnt wait to plant are super happy! lol. Their even starting to shoot out some tomatoes!! Lookie there!!! What kind of toms did I buy? Bah, buying is for chumps. I got these from my dear Aunt Nan, from mystery heirloom seeds. Looks like there are 3 types, so I have about 2 of each. I'll try and remember to keep yall posted ;)

And lastly, today after taking Crazy Uncle shoe shopping, I stopped off to get the felines some feed. While wondering through the local corporate petshop (competitior to terrible Corporate Petshop) I saw they were cleaning the critter cages. Upon passing I saw possibly the CUTEST act of controled instincual behavior EVER!!!

Not only am I now having dog withdrawls but I also miss my mouse. Look how CUTE they all are!!! :D All furry and snuggly and fou fou-y..... Ok, Ive lost it... Im gunna go do something now...

Lovely Days and Insomnia

I dont know what happened just then. But its adorable... Anywho!! So I had a very lovely weekend with Patch and Casper, and Gentleman Friend. Poor pets at my house are neglected to NO END... Beniegn neglect? Anywho, The weekend was full of snuggles, failed bacon pancakes and GF's first IKEA trip!! :D He got lots of idea's for deckin out the bachalor pad, we ate EVERYTHING int he cafe's and he got me a plate set (insert awww's and vomit, yes I am apparently that girl) BTW plates are PURPLE!!!

GF also got some plates. Turns out you spell classy KALAS. Yes I stole this picture...

Color and Design is.. A lot of work. As is the online class, but I can do it!!! :D Stay positive!!

Also, its like 1:30 am on a monday night.... eerr... tues AM. I have been having these weird bouts of insomnia... I know it runs in the family on moms side... :( ugh. oh well. Work is fun. Went out for Del Taco with the co-workers tonight and they are kinda awesome.

So the lovely blog The Near Sighted Owl is a blog I subscribe to and regularly read. Rachele the author is doing this amazing project, which I agree with and support. Ya, I have always had body issues, what girl hasn't? But the past two years have been major improvements or me, my psyche and those who have to listen to me bitch. :) Im PROUDLY a size 10

Being Domestic

So its super late, I have to be up early for class and of course Im wired. Ugh.. So Im cooking up a delish lunch for tomorrow for myself and Gentleman Friend. :) Yes, Im a domestic Goddess as well. Its been a long time since I have posted a recipe here, so here we go:

Blue Cheese and Bacon Grilled Cheese

• 1/2 c. blue cheese, crumbled

• 4 oz. cream cheese, softened

• 8 Slices Tomato

• 4 Slices Sourdough Round

• 2 T. butter, softened

• 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp

In a small bowl, blend blue cheese and cream cheese. Butter one side of each slice of bread.

Spread the cheese mixture on the non-buttered side of 4 bread slices. Cut bacon slices in half and place 2 halves on top of each blue cheese- topped slice. Add tomatoes. Cover with remaining bread, buttered side out.

Place sandwiches on an electric griddle heated to 275 degrees or in a skillet heated on medium. Cook 4-5 minutes per side, or until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.

Summer School

School started! I spent my first day in Color and Design, and logged into my first online class :) Color and Design IS going to be a TON of work. Just like everyone said. and its going to be EXPENSIVE. But I'll make it happen. always do :)

Work has been fun, but just did 6 days in a row and my legs are killing me from standing on concrete for to many hours. Did make some money though. Havnt seen anyone really, been super busy. I am currently house sitting Patch for the Aunts and Casper for Janet, and Uncle Ed... lol! Laughing but its so true.

Kittens are lonely because Im spending so much time at Janets, but they will survive. 

Adventure In Monterey

So Monterey was amazing. Honestly one of the best present I have ever received for my birthday :) Gentleman Friend, His best friend, wife and I all got along amazingly well (Im approved! yay!!) and had sooooo much fun! We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for 2 days, and I fish geeked out. We also collected smashed pennies (The collection passed 200 pieces!!), ate FABULOUS food and took long walks on the beach. After two amazing days we headed up to Sonoma for wine tasting and hot tubbing.

Im so spoiled...

At the aquarium they focused on Jelly Fish, which it turns out are AMAZING. They have no brains and are just super cool. I took about a thousand pictures of them and will hopefully post some soon. We also got to see them feed the otters (CUUUUUUTE) and I found a super ugly grouper I Heart. :) and seahorses, and cute little GOBIES!!! Btw I LOVE gobies.. I kind of ache for my little bumble bee's again.. maybe when I move Jellybean fish into her bigger tank.... ;)

Also, in Sonoma, I rode the tram again and DIDN'T cry, and we visited a freakin CASTLE. Im gunna get used to this... Trouble!!

BIRTHDAY!!

So, as most of you should know, my birthday was the 8th :)

So I was way on the fence on what to do and if I should do it. But thanks to Fashion Rachel and Gentleman Friend we ended up watching REALLY amazingly bad TV and eating Pizza and Drumstick Ice Cream. Yum.

Kei, Katherine, Brand-i and Cod-i all came over and we watched American Gypsy Weddings and Jersey Shore Shark Attack. AMAZING.

So I got some lovely gifts, including a GC to go Segwaying on Angel Island, food for 6 and a half months, gift cards and a lovely pair of earrings from Gentlman Friend. OMG Im in trouble now. :)
