Best Birthday Gift EVER

Thanks to the wonderful, amazing, handsome, tall and manly Gentleman Friend I got to experiance a SAFARI!! Right here in Cali!! He took me to Safari West, up in Santa Rosa. We got up around 6 am or so and headed out, with sandwiches and snacks in hand :3 Safari West is a privet collection of wild animals on 400 acres, and a member of the Assosiation of Zoo's in America. Btw I LOVE Giraffes. The only bummer is between 2 of us there were 4 cameras and all out of commision that weekend. Luckily my phone actually took some beautiful pictures :3

And just to be super nerdy there are 9 subspecies of Giraffe. Most are threatened or endagered, and one if extinced in the wild. Save the Giant Goats!! (not really but kind of)

After a few hours of blowing my mind that handsome man took me for In-N-Out Burger, then to the Charles Shulz Museum. Who is Charles Shulz? Maybe you've heard of Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang? "Sparky" as he was known, lived in Santa Rosa for 30 years, where he drew, iced skated and generally made the town a better place.. or even a place (lets face it Santa Rosa, theres not much there) The museum has his personal collection of comics, his actual office and a wall from his house where he painted a mural for his daughter. more head splodies

Ya thats a penny smash machine. I collect them if you are unaware.... and so now I have 4 more for my collection!! Well, when I find them... I misplaced them in i think Gentleman Friends Car.... I also got a cute little toy atSafari West, a build a Giraffe!!! :D OMG I love it!! 

Thanks you Handsome, This was the greatest gift I've ever gotten. 

So It Got Busy Again...

Where were you Izzy? Well, last weekend was an amazing adventure which will get its own post here shortly. After a wonderful birthday and graduations I got to hang out and shop a little with my Mama. She picked me up this SUPER cute polkadot tshirt dress for work, and we found adorable little hair clips, so heres one of my new favorite work outfits. Humble brag alert!! lol. The day she had to fly out I ran out and picked up a strawberry tart from Nations, a small local chain which makes GREAT giant cheeseburgers, and the best pies.. like.. ever. We then headed to aline dancing class with my Aunt then had to rush mama to the airport. Its hard to say bye every time.... but Im going to convince Gentleman Friend to take me to LA to see her :3 Soon. Hint... lol!!

After an hour or so of wallowing in sadness and eating a self serve minitub of haagen-dazs Angela came over and we got to hang out! :D GF managed to get Pre-preview tickets to Man Of Steel, the tuesday before it came out so we headed out to go see it. BTW, its good. Its a nesting doll of flashbacks and theres a dragon, but I liked it!!

MEAT OF THE WEEK!

ok, This isnt ment to offend anyone, but I LOVE meat. I grew up in a meat eating family and have raised my own animals for consumption (Dont name them, it makes you sad T_T) This week I kind of cheated and picked up a pack of Trader Joes Carne Asada. What is Carne Asada? Oh ya, not everyones state is attached to that delightful cornacopia of food known as Mexico (it IS cone shaped, think about it). Carne Asada is basically marinated cheap beef cut thin and grilled into delightfulness. The marinate on TJ's is REALLY good, Like I'll be eating it again soon.Tangy and a little spicy and not to salty. Its also not very exspensive, which is good for a girl like me on a tight budget.

I opened up my pack and was delighted to find it was already presliced, which means the marinade has maximum coverage of the meat. I seared it up in my trusty little frying pan, which I got as hot as possible and gave a light spray of a Pam knock off.

Sadly I got so excited I forgot to get a finished picture! But that handsome Gentleman Im dating and I thoroughly enjoyed it with a side of fresh fruit, some carrots and snap peas.

I have been watching way to much Due South reruns this week, and playing a lot of my DS. Part of my birthday present from my aunties is Plants VS Zombies which is a HUGE time sink... Im addicted... Here are some silly screen shots from Pokemon White- 

Grads, Party and Happy Birthday!

Yes Im so narcissistic im wishing myself happy birthday!! But why not? Im 28, in a great school, have a great house with two really bad cats, have a great family and the sweetest Handsomest Gentleman Friend around! I survived another year which is both the most impressive thing and le11 ast impressive thing ever. My mom is in town!!! OMG Im so happy!! She flew in on Wed, and I picked her up and had to go to work. But thursday we went to the city and did a little shopping, I got a SUUUPER cute polkadot t-shirt dress for work and some cute hair clips I'll show off later. I also got a silly cat top for work and she got lots of good stuff!! We also met GF for dinner and had all you can eat dim sum for 5.99! Boom! Fri we went to the thrift store with the Aunts, I got a REALLY wonderful old metal foot locker, OMG its something I have wanted for EVER! Again pictures to be posted soon!! But to the good stuff- this weekend my Adorable cousin Amy Graduated from high school!! OMG! She was so beautiful, and so 17... I kind of forgot how 17 year old girls are.... lol!!

theres a picture of pizza there, because after we went to eat at california pizza kitchen, which I had never been to before some how. I got the Jamaican Jerk and it was DE-Lightful!! So yummy!! It was a really wonderful day!! We also threw my bdau celebration in there, even though i ask the family not to, lets just celebrate the achievment.. but i got some lovely gift cards, a pikachu tshirt because Im such a nerd, and a bacon chefs hat for bacon day!!! Ya! Pictures of those will come soon.

Last night the co-wrkers and I headed to chevys after a depressingly slow day at work, and THAT crew likes a party!! I was bought a pitcher of margharitas, which I shared, was given some REALLY lovely gifts and generally had a lovely time! GF came out and joined us, and we all took turns wearing my bday sombraro. BTW we had a discussion about Chevy's. Lets get something strait, its not mexican food.Its mexican inspired maybe, but if you go looking for mexican food your sorely dissapointed, Instead looks for grilled chicken, Margharitas and free chips, and you'll be happy as can be 

 Yep!! Also for summer i want to add some new challeges, so stay tuned!!!

Short Pet Update

I haven't posted to much about the pets as of recently, so a little update is in order!! 

Castor has been Castor. Some moments he's the worlds cutest, sweetest most wonderful cat, and sometimes he destroys my home, skin and life. I am a firm believer he will be a good cat one day.., sooner then later I hope!!! Lol but over all he's been much better. No floods for a while, knock on wood...

Mr. Pickles has been running around and still acting like a kitten!! Every time he slows down I worry this may be the end and BOOM!! He's back at it! He's down to a healthier weight then a year ago and gives Castor a run for his money so that's all I can ask of my old man!!!

Cooper!!! Gerbil sidekick and cardboard destroyer!!! I was really worried about a month ago, he got skinny even though he are everything... My mind goes to cancer or parasites.... But turns out it was the new food, my fault getting hamster food. So I added some oats and nuts and fruit and he's baaaaaack!!! 

Frizzetta is angry here, I just cleaned his tank which he HATES. Sadly all my Detroit bettas have now passed on, and Friz was my last one till tues when I went out...

I named him Rockwell. Sadly he never ate and crawled inside the castle to die :/ so Friday I went out and got.... 

Sing Sarget!! Sarg is a crazy dude, super fiesty and ready for just about anything. Btw if you think my betta names are weird I name them after illustrators... I lie having themes for my fish names :3
