I dont want to work this hard.

Why does everything have to been so hard? I know, Im just whinney. But I have one day off this week from both jobs, have no money and am working a few doubles. I hardly even have time to see Haily, which I need to do.

The pets are going well. Castor has been bad lately. REALLY bad. He bolted into the hall a few days ago, and ran up and down yowling and not letting me catch him. Jen tried to help but he ran from her to. Then he started jumping at random doors and yowling louder. I finally caught him and he was super panicy.

I havnt been cooking. Its been so hot I just cant do it. I lied, I did make some AMAZING grilled cheese sandwiches. I used some grinder bread (wide flat bread thats soft and doughy) slathered it with dijon and covered with colby jack mix. I then added some tomato slices and toasted to perfection. Actually I sorta burned it, but they were delish and lasted two days of lunches :)

Holy cow time flies when your working your ASS off. Its the end of July, and I am going to be leaving second week of August. Its kind of freaky. As bad as I want to go home I am so sad leaving. I love my apartment. I love this city and I love Alix :) lol. I love the proximity to all the eastcoast, but I havnt been anywhere so its a waste anyways.

Yesterday I was in a fowl mood, but A LOT less fowl then fridays. So to cheer myself up I went out to the Ann Arbor Art Fair. I have been hearing about this for like a month, and it was a bit dissapointing. It was just an big street art sale, which is cool, but I dont know if I would have driven all the way out for it. I did pick up two peices though, a photograph of a 50's Odlsmobil and a great night ruins picture. :)

Drive was nice, then I headed to work to end up working as a driver (uck) untill 3 am. It was dead until 1am then a flood of idiots. just so many drunkards who cant even act like a human, much less try and function. I work waaaay to hard.

Dieing of heat!!!

As Ms Alix put it, Cooper is trying to commit suicide on an ice cute and he's the desert rodent!! Ugh, at 8am it was already 95. supposed to be over 100. Castor is panting, and at 11 am i have soaked him twice. I get to work a 10 hour shift, yay for monies and air, but Im worried about the pets. Im gunna leave the fan going (I have a fan!!!) leave frozn water bottles for everyone except the crabs and bettas (Who are lovin it) and closed the shades.

So the fan... OMG, what an ordeal. so apparently B of A put a hold on my account- AGAIN for buying gas at BP. Same BP. No one told me. So Im at Meijer, and card keeps getting rejected. After an hour on hold, they told me they fixed it and to buy my stuff, my fan and some sheets. I call back to figure out why oh why they keep f*cking with me. they then tell me my account is still frozen untill they send my card- in 5-10 BUISNESS DAYS. -_- Done with B of A

Splerge!

I was bad today. I have been scraping by, and decided today to splerge a bit and blow some cash ;) Lol! And this means like $20. I found the most Ghetto-tastic store, Rainbow! Got an awesome leopard print dress for $7, some thrift store shoes for adventuring, some headbands, some $2 earrings and a $2 necklace, and the best purse from the army surplus store EVER! A perfect little messenger bag like the one I sadly lost wen the car got stolen :( But this one is better. :) much much better! Better fabric and stitching and everything else. and LOTS of little pockets! Pictures soon.

Dashed dreams

There is a very good chance I will not be able to go to the school I got accepted to. Im still going to California, but I can only get a tiny amount of finacial aide, and I cant get a privet loan. I am not going to spend 6 years in school just because I am broke, its not worth it. By the time I am out my leads and contacts in the industry will have died and dried up. Some dreams arnt worth keeping alive. I was crazy to think I could follow my heart as a white woman. I just dont qualify.

Accomplishment!

Finished over at the Piquat Museum. Its bitter sweet, on one hand its done and Im free, but I like working over there. Of course I had a very awkward moment when one of the head people came up to me and mentioned the job was supposed to be done by June. oops. Oh well, I had no idea. But my side is DONE!

Made another chicken in the crock pot! Super easy:

Chop potatoes, carrots, celery, onions and half a bell pepper (I used orange) and toss in pot. Cover one chicken in cajun seasoning. toss in the pot. Put Crock on low for 7-9 hours. Inhale. :) OMG I love the crock pot!!! I also made this last night:



All I can say is, YUM. Holy crap yum. And good with soy milk even! (Vanilla Soy, lol) Make this soup. Now.

I have been on an Adam Carolla riff for the past few days. Just obsessed with the pod cast. so many hours of podcasts!!! lol

No more Big and Tasty? OMG!

This show's how often I eat out eh? Its been gone from Detroit about 4 months I here, and this makes me sad. This has been my favorite burger at MCD for many years now, since it replaces what ever it is it replaced that was the exact same thing but smaller. Its MCD's Whopper which is appealing to me. If I just want some beef and know it will be decent, thats the burger. The last one I must have had was on my road trip out here I think. A moment of silence for the burger of paupers.

I am transitioning Castor onto the wet food diet. He is very excited about this, and he seems to be doing well. Hurrah! Mom reports Pickles is doing better on his wet food diet as well!

Stirring up something

How do I work so much without making ANY money what so ever? How am I got all day and all night and not able to make rent without help? Ugh... This is why finishing my education and getting a good job will be AWESOME. Anywho, things are going the way they go.

Talked to my lovely mommy the other day and we decided I will take Sphinx my parakeet back and Mr. Pickles my beautiful kitty. This may be rough as a friend wants me to also take on HER two kitty babies, and I feel like 4 cats for one girl is close to certifiable. Not that Im not, just saying.

Speaking of cats, in my discombobled rampage here, I have been reading up on cat nutrition. Pickles back in Cali has had bladder and UT problems for years, and its been an on going struggle for him. I recently started reading about the glories of wet food, which I had heard nothing but bad things about before. Apparently I have been out of the loop though and its a much better diet. So I told mom to start the Pickle on it, and Im actually thinking of getting the Kitler on it as well. No fish, thats way to stinky. lol!

BTW apparently 5 cats is the lunacy breaking point for single white female. lol!

Vegi Soup and Castor's Home!

Last night was a sad night. No Castor. :( No Matisse :( But I did try Telway Sliders and they were not to bad! :) I will be returning for the little 2.225 for 4 deal they have going. But I picked Castor up today from his neutering, and he even got a tattoo out of it! lol. Im registering him with a cat club as well so I have some sort of proof of ownership. Im weird...

Anywho, making some Vegi Soup out of things from my freezer and fridge. Its in the crockpot, imagine that.

4 cups chicken broth
2 carrots sliced
2 celery sticks sliced
1 red onion sliced rough
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can of water
2 cups frozen corn
2 cups frozen pea's
2 cups frozen green beans (I used french style, but any will work)
1 potato diced large
italian seasoning
1 bay leaf

Im so happy to leave. Things have changed a lot around here. Matisse is gone. Monday I get a text at work that "The barking has to stop now, its been going on for to long, muzzle him tonight." Barking? Howling? Omg I had no idea, so I had my neighbor watch him, and I bought a muzzle just in case. So tuesday at work I get a text that he has to go, it to much. Wait, what? How long HAS this been going on? No answer. I have to rehome my dog? Im heart broken. So I bailed on Pizza Shop (goodbye $60) and drove all the way out to take him back to Cheryls, crying the whole way (goodbye $50 in gas). Why didnt anyone tell me before it got to this point? Because everyone in Detroit is super jenky. And this California girl is done. Ya, and my neighbor is trying to make me her personal assistant, but for no pay and BTW being kind of rude about it. And Vince keeps trying to stiff me on my pay. Yup, time to go.

Castor is off at the vet today, he's getting neutered. Its so quiet and sad around here. I guess its time to let Cooper run freeeeeeee!!! lol, well, in the ball. Im getting started packing before work. I have started an experiment but I'm gunna try and keep it to its own blog. :) lol. Lemons, Lemonaide.

the Grande Ballroom Trip 1

So today has been strange. It was suppose to be my day off but I ended up working 5-9am at Corporate Pet Shop and 1-2 at Pizza Shop. I napped somewhere inbetween but still feel like shit. Matisse has been restless so I decided we should adventure. I tried to find James, aka Hustle Bustle, but he wasnt around, so we headed out alone. Matisse rolled in something dead and was super yummy for most of the trip :( First we headed over to check out the Grande Ballroom. I chickened out and didnt go in but got some cool shots from the door :)
